When Jefferson and Anushka were here recently, they chose this blanket I knitted, to take home with them...
looks like Rafe has already claimed it :)
And while we're on the subject of blankets, remember these crocheted squares that I didn't like the pink edging on...
They now have brown edging...
And some quotes from this beautiful book...
enjoyed while drinking my morning coffee
"The secret is balance: instead of doing everything faster, do everything at the right speed. Sometimes fast. Sometimes slow. Sometimes in between". - Carl Honore
"People look for retreat for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills...
There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind...
So constantly give yourself this retreat and renew yourself". - Marcus Aurelius

What a little cutie he is.!. Plus .... the blanket is beautiful. No wonder they chose it.
ReplyDeleteI've yet to meet the 'little cutie' :))
DeleteAnd 'thanks' on the blanket! xx
I think they picked a nice blanket - it looks quite a nice yarn from the photo ......the brown edging def looks better! I'm envious of that coffee of yours - what type of machine do you have?
ReplyDeleteIt's Mithril wool (New Zealand) bought online from Ecoyarns. Expensive, but lovely yarn!
DeleteI often wonder how I survived without my coffee machine :))) It's a DeLonghi...bottom of the range, takes pods and ground coffee beans, but I've never used pods, always grind my own beans. xx
Oh someone sure does love that blanket. I do like the brown better on those squares!
ReplyDeleteYes...I'm much happier with the brown edging too! xx
DeleteRafe has good taste. :D The crocheted one certainly looks different with the brown edging; the neutrals will be a good choice. That last photo - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa :) xx
