The river levels are down again now...

Weekend Winter Walk

Morning!!

Saturday sunrise from my kitchen window

First up, a quick trip to the monthly market to stock up on vegies...

Then a walk around the river...
taken from the footbridge over the river at the spillway

and from the footbridge at the caravan park

There is a black swan sitting on a nest...
in a rather open and exposed position

Checking her eggs...
last count I could see 6!

Although it's winter, there is still a bit of colour about...

I can't resist the bare trees...

Back home for my well deserved morning coffee with toasted sourdough and blue vein cheese, and a browse through my new mag in a little patch of sunshine...

I hope you are enjoying your day :)) xx

Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow...

Last year was the first snowfall for Deloraine in about 20 years, and this winter we are getting another one, albeit much lighter...
Our first snow flurries for the winter

Eldest daughter Natasha is here from Texas and requested my scones and jam and cream for afternoon tea on her day of arrival...
 Denver, Natasha and Marnie indulging

Her boys arrived to join her today.  They had a few extra days in Sydney with family before coming to Tassie...
Denver (Marnie's), Oli, Zak and Dylan (Natasha's) chilling out/warming up by the fire before heading out to the Mole Creek Wildlife Park.

A quick catch up from the winter wonderland :))

Chop Chop Chop

Hired a trailer for the weekend to get rid of the two camellia trees I chopped down...

but will it all fit?

Spent 6 hours chop...chop...chopping...

Getting there...chop...chop...chop...

 more chop...chop...chop...

Nearly done...chop...chop...chop...

 Yes!!!!

and with room to spare...

Guess I didn't need to chop so small after all!!

It was quite therapeutic actually :))

And here's a shot of the sunrise from my kitchen window the other morning...
looks like a fire!!!

Raining here today, so no walkies.  About to have lunch and get some more squares knitted...

Enjoy your day!
