Knitting. Rib beanies (also for charity). Using 2 strands of 8 ply wool and 7mm needles. I really enjoy making these as they knit up so quickly...
Here's the pattern...
Reading. Two books from the library. French Dirt (my bed time read) and Le Road Trip (my day time 'dip into')...
On the bookshelf... some of my recent acquisitions...
Sniffing. My herbs...which I love, and quite often bring into the house. This is a selection of mint, sage, lemon balm and catmint and oregano flowers...
love those little purple flowers :))

Lynda, following on from your post in 2012, do you know what the state of the Mennonites in Australia is now?
ReplyDeleteHi Ted - don't have a lot to do with the Mennonites now although I do keep in touch with some of the Deloraine folk. Can't say what is going on in the rest of Australia, but as for the Deloraine group, although they have some Australian families fellowshipping with them, as far as I am aware none have actually joined the church. All the members here are families who have come out from Canada to start up the community here. I think they will have difficulty getting Australian families to join due to their very strict church rules/guidelines which are very restrictive to most Australian Christians.
DeleteIf you want more info or contact details for other Anabaptist groups in Australia, feel free to email me.
Thanks for the beanie pattern Lynda! If you've been to visit my blog you'll have seen Easter has been busy!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sharm - looks like you are keeping busy too :)) xx
