Marnie, Phil and Denver gave me a gift voucher for The Black Hen for Christmas. Bought a wooden ampersand with it...
(Bet you didn't know that was what this symbol was called!)
B
Books from the library on the go...
(Beautiful houses in the wood book!)
C
Bought this coffee/cappuccino maker. Now I have to work out how to use it...
(Made my first cup this morning...delish!)
D
Marnie and Denver have moved to Melbourne for a couple of years, so I have been busy de-cluttering and re-arranging furniture...
(Still a way to go...but getting there...)
E
Is for everything else...
Christmas Day I helped out (as I did the previous year) at the charity lunch held here in Deloraine. Cooking, serving, washing dishes... It was fun, working with a nice bunch of people. Hope to do it again next Christmas.
New Year was quiet...the way I like it :)
Keeping busy walking, weeding, mowing lawns, reading, getting back on track with blog entries... Enjoying the solitude :))
Hope 2015 is a good one for you!!
xx
hello friend,
ReplyDeleteyou are RIGHT, i did not know the name of the symbol.
when i visit you, i would love to enjoy the 'C'
1 sugar thanks.
Hi Debbie - I should be an expert at making latte's by then! They get better every time!!.
DeleteLook forward to seeing you :)) xx
That coffee maker looks complicated!
ReplyDeleteHi MIchelle! It's not really complicated. Two goes and I've just about got it. Amazing how quickly you can learn when you are hanging out for a coffee :)) xx
DeleteSounds like life is good. I had an espresso/cappachino (sp) machine once, I liked it, but got tired of the clean up after steaming milk.
ReplyDeleteI recently read a book called The Giver by Lois something or other, it was good, couldn't put it down.
Glad you are doing well and probably enjoying mid summer by now, while we are freezing :)
Hi Bean...good to hear form you !! Looks like you are getting back into the swing of things on your blog too :))
ReplyDeleteActually the coffee machine is very quick and easy to operate and clean now that I've mastered it! And it makes a GREAT cup of coffee! Tastes just like you would buy in a café!!
The Giver by Lois Lowry? Apparently it's been made into a movie!
Oh, yes...plenty of hot summer weather here! Could do with a little of your winter freeze :)). Summer is not my favourite season!! xx
I heard the movie is a poor rendition of the book, it did not get good reviews. The book is intriguing.
