when in doubt....use humour

This is a postscript to my previous post, so if you haven't read it go HERE.

I do most of my thinking on my morning walk and my mind seems to function best in the (literal) greyness and fog.  And for the 'photo fans' here's a picture I took on my walk this morning at 6.30am...

So, just thinking back on my previous post, it occurred to me that perhaps I hide my vulnerability behind joking and humour.

I guess to some degree we all hide behind something.

What about you?

  1. I would agree, better to make a joke about something I am insecure about first, and get it out of the way! For example, my youngest sister is my height and has always been extremely slim, my middle sister is about five inches shorter than me and is extremely slim and an exercise nut, I am the oldest and plump! On occasions we are all together and introduced to someone new I always say, "I am the biggest sister, in more than one way :)" This is mainly due to my own insecurity about my size.

    1. Hi Bean!

I think it's that initial uneasiness at meeting new people and wondering what they are thinking. Unfortunately with some people you can never get over that uneasiness :)

I think it comes back to feeling/being judged.

I guess we all crave acceptance.

Have a blessed Christmas my friend! xx

(and I really appreciate your comments on my blog)
