Yarn along

Joining Ginny for Yarn Along...

Crocheting an edge around a knitted lap blanket for the charity knitting group...

Reading THIS book that I picked up at the local book exchange.  Interesting so far...

Last weekend we had a big music festival in Deloraine...STRINGFEST

I attended 3 concerts and bought 2 cd's from THIS group.  They were brilliant!!

Winter has arrived...even though we are only into autumn!  Have the wood heater going already and had to don coat, hat, scarf and gloves for my early morning walk...6'C!

The wind has just picked up, so I don't think I will be moving far from the fire :)

Keep warm...or cool...(depending where you live)...

UVWXY and Z

U is for...  Un gateau!

Un 'orange and blueberry tea cake' gateau !!!  This was the cake Brenda made for her birthday luncheon.  She sent me the recipe and I made it.  It's delicious...especially served with whipped cream :)))

V is for...   Vicky Christina Barcelona...the Woody Allen written and directed DVD I watched last night.  Don't enjoy all of his movies, but this one was good!

W is for...   Walden by Henry David Thoreau.  Have never read it, even though it is a classic, so picked up this edition of the book recently, and it is on my 'to read' list (which seems to be getting ever longer!!)

X is for...   Xavier Rudd
Heard his music in a shop I was in and asked who it was!! So have reserved some of his CD's from the library...

Y is for...   Yarn Along

Joining in with Ginny on her blog!  Haven't been part of Yarn Along for awhile what with it being summer here, but as the days are getting shorter and cooler, it feels like time to get the wool and knitting needles out.  Have been sewing blanket squares together for our charity knitting group next week (we have been in recess over summer).

I also want to knit up a sample beanie to show the ladies (and encourage them to knit also) at our meeting...

AND

Z is for...  The ZoZo Sisters (Linda Ronstadt and Ann Savoy) ... great Cajun music!!!

Thus endeth the alphabet posts!!!

I'm so glad that's out of the way!

Normal transmission will resume with next post :)))

Adieu!
