Beans Bananas Beanies Books

Backyard bounty...

This is what happens when you don't pick the beans for a few days...

I froze some, and used some fresh for my dinner...

Chicken and cashew stirfry...

And when you don't eat the bananas quick enough...
I can't eat them once they get brown/black spots on them

You have to make another banana, date and walnut cake...
and eat it too!!

And for Yarn Along...

Finished the back of my jumper...

Packaging up and mailing off charity beanies for Ronald McDonald House...
 they wanted bright colours :)

Reading Search for Sunday...enjoying and relating...

And I bought the Streams in the Desert devotional because I had a 30% off voucher from Koorong.  I have used this devotional years ago, and am really enjoying it again, especially the fact that there is a morning and evening reading.   The thoughts, poems and quotes are timeless...

So I will finish with this from Streams in the Desert - January 30 - Morning...

Go from your country...to the land I will show you. Genesis 12.1

(looking across the Meander Valley and Deloraine to the Grest Western Tiers)

From The Explorer...
“THERE’S no sense in going further—it’s the edge of cultivation,”
So they said, and I believed it—broke my land and sowed my crop—
Built my barns and strung my fences in the little border station
Tucked away below the foothills where the trails run out and stop.

Till a voice, as bad as Conscience, rang interminable changes
On one everlasting Whisper day and night repeated—so:
“Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges—
“Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!”

Anybody might have found it but—His Whisper came to Me!
 Kipling

So...I intend to take a little trip, not behind the ranges...but to the sea!!

xx

  1. Cute little hats! I prefer bananas with spots on the skin. I ate one today that I was tired of waiting for (when it's cold they take too long to ripen!) and it tasted green to me. :(
    Have a good trip!
