Yarn along

Just finished knitting this waffle (or basket) weave baby blanket in 8 ply pure wool.  It was so quick to knit and is lovely and soft.  I have some friends who are having babies over the next few months so want to get a couple made.  I'm working on a pink one now (using one strand of cream and one of colour together).  The pattern is HERE.

I'm reading Growing up Amish by Ira Wagler, and also dipping into A Celebration of the Simple Life by Wanda E Brunstetter...

And listening to Katie Melua's new CD Ketevan.  It's really good.  She has an amazing voice.  I would call her style a mix of blues/jazz...

I'm linking up with Ginny on her BLOG for Yarn Along.

Enjoy your day!!

  1. Lovely blanket! I think waffle weave is a great stitch for baby blankets.

    1. Hello Elflyn - yes...it is a nice pattern to knit. Not too complicated, but enough to keep it interesting and has a nice soft, cosy finish.

      Blessings to you!
