this...that...and the other

Remember this lap blanket?  I'm still working on it....

Because I got side tracked doing these squares for that baby blanket.  Which are now done and just (just??) have to be all sewn together...

Almost finished reading Into The Wild.  I want to watch the movie, but I like to read the book first.

And watching more episodes of Northern Exposure (I'm addicted!)

After seeing them recommended on various blogs recently, I brought this stack of books home from the library, but couldn't get into any of them...

Except this one!  Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys.  A really (really) good read...

And you know what it's like when you finish a really good book....

It seems to take ages to be able to find another one (sigh).

But I'm off to the library again to pick up another stack...just in case....

Oh...and the other thing was....

Susan and Bean were the only ones that commented on my 200 post, so I would like to send you both something.  Will email you privately. See what all you others missed out on :))

  1. Crochet is looking fab as usual. I get books and then cannot get into them at all. I recently read The Witch Doctor's Wife by Tamar Myers, and I really, really enjoyed it, it was available from our local library.
I sent you my email address.

And I am feeling more settled in myself about attending the new church, I realized that going to church and learning about God and how to live my life as a christian is important to me and I actively choose to do this, my husband and daughter are more passive, they attend church if I go, but neither will go with me to the new church. Weird! But neither are going to the old church because I am not going. Even weirder because if it is that important I would think they would still go. I am praying about this.

    Blessings to you,

    Bean

    1. Hi Bean :)

Didn't get to the library yesterday as it was too hot (maybe we can do a weather swap), so need to go today.

The church I go to has a lot of women who attend on their own. Their husbands are happy for them to go, but don't feel the need to attend themselves.

If it's important to you...I think you should go. Perhaps in time they will attend too. xx

    1. Hi Susan - yes, it was a good read, but have just finished a WONDERFUL read which was recommended by some-one on their blog (Peace Like a River by Leif Enger). Best book I've read in ages! x

  3. Looks like you are keeping rather busy Lynda! If you've been over to visit my either of my blogs lately you will see my fingers have also been keeping occupied - a strange thing in this hot weather - but then air conditioning is a wonderful thing.

    1. Hi Sharm - I think because it is too hot to go outside...well...that's my excuse... even though the garden is in desperate need of attention.

I've even started knitting a cardigan...in anticipation of the cooler weather :)

      xx
