Packing and knitting

I've been packing today....

Among other things, I've been packing up these crocheted blankets that I had in the craft shop...

And I'm itchin' to get started on my next knitting project.  A vest for daughter Marnie (in the grey) and daughter in law Hayley in the wine colour (it's called merlot, although it looks pink in the photo).

The wool is 20% bamboo and 80% wool from Bendigo Woollen Mills.   Unfortunately I don't have the right sized needles to get started so will have to wait till monday and run next door to the post office (which is also a wool shop!).  So might work on my crocheted lap blanket over the weekend....

  1. Beautiful blankets, and I am sure the vests will be stunning when they are finished too. I've started my own knitting project. I'm making a blanket for a single bed. If you are interested in seeing my rough design you can look here: http://fromacorntooak.blogspot.com/2012/07/craft-single-bed-blanket.html

    God Bless!

  2. Hi Ashleigh - I took a look at your blog....what a great idea to design your own blanket. I think it will be lovely when it is finished.

I would like to join you in making one too as I have quite a bit of wool left over from other projects, but I won't start till I get moved to my new place...in a couple of weeks. xx

  3. Good luck with the move. It is always exciting to move even though it is a lot of work to pack up and then unpack. Always fun to decided how to organize everything in the new place. Hope all goes well.
Love the yarn colors for the vests, they will look very nice knitted up. I love the crochet blankets you always use such vibrant colors they truly are beautiful.

    Blessings to you,

    Bean

  5. Hi Bean and Sister Lori - the move is not far away now...starting to feel the pressure, but it will be all over soon, then will come the decision of finding a church. xx
